Exterior

The Passat’s longer wheelbase and shorter front and rear overhangs contribute to a more raked silhouette, creating a road presence that is at once lithe and dynamic. A bold shoulder line that sweeps across the wheel arches, incorporates the door handles and adds elegance to the Passat’s stance. While the roofline falls gracefully towards the rear in both sedan and wagon, that shoulder edge holds firm, visually stretching the car.

Interior

A new multi-function steering wheel provides intuitive control of both drive settings and multimedia interface, while an ergonomically focused driving position puts all controls at your fingertips at any time. With a central analogue clock, a dash panel that slopes sharply downwards, and touches of chrome and leather, the Passat brings a premium style that was once the preserve of luxury saloons.

Safety

You don’t like to think about it, but every driver may one day thank ESP for saving his or her life. ESP helps reduce the chance of accident by lowering the danger of skidding or losing control as a result of over-correcting. When traction is lost from any wheel, ESP kicks in, using computer controlled technology to apply brakes individually and/or reduces engine torque helping bring the car safely back on track.

Technology

Smartphones are handy, always with you and for every situation there is a suitable app. With App-Connect, three innovative technologies allow you to bring selected smartphone apps onto your Volkswagen’s infotainment system’s touchscreen: Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ and MirrorLink®. All you have to do is connect your mobile device using a USB and you can access selected apps for messaging, maps, music and podcasts.
